A Bwa Griot in Matongé (African district in Brussels)

The walk of a Bwa Griot (Zouratié Koné) in Matongé, the African district in Brussels: the shopping, the meetings, the music and dances.

The “tama” (talking drum) is an instrument which is still used, in the villages of Mandingo Africa, to announce the relevant news for the life of the community (a new law, an assembly, a death , a wedding, a baptism).

Zouratié Koné is a Master of the tama, recognized in Mandingo Africa.

What a pleasure to feel a bit as we were in the village that day! And we can see that in the joy of the inhabitants and workers of Matongé!
